4. Nature of our services
What we provide: coaching and education, not financial advice
We provide coaching and education to help you make informed decisions and build your financial knowledge and confidence. We do not provide financial advice as defined by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We are not regulated financial advisers.
Think of us as your guide to understanding personal finance—we'll help you understand concepts, teach you how to use financial modelling tools, educate you about different investment strategies, but we do not recommend or advise on whether specific investments, funds, or products are suitable for you. All financial decisions are yours to make.
Your responsibility
All financial decisions you make are your sole responsibility. This includes:
- Whether to implement any strategies or ideas discussed in coaching sessions
- Any investments, savings, or financial products you choose
- Research and due diligence before making financial decisions
- Seeking independent professional financial advice when needed, particularly for complex or significant financial decisions
What we're not responsible for
While we provide high-quality coaching and tools, we make no guarantees about specific financial outcomes or results. Your results will vary based on factors including your personal circumstances, financial situation, commitment, discipline, and economic conditions.
We are not responsible for:
- Financial outcomes or results from decisions you make
- Investment performance or losses
- Whether any particular financial strategy or approach is suitable for your circumstances
5. Who is this service for?
Our services are designed for people who want guidance and financial education to help them with financial planning, investing and achieving financial freedom. This service is not suitable for individuals who:
- Are under 18 years of age
- Are not resident and domiciled in the UK for tax purposes
- Have particularly complex personal or financial circumstances which are outside the scope of our services
6. Payment terms
Fees
All fees are stated in British Pounds (£). Payment terms depend on the service you select:
- Personal Financial Coaching: £220/year, payable in advance via the payment method you provide during registration. Your subscription Start Date begins when you complete your payment and registration. Subscription fees are charged annually on this date and will automatically renew each year unless cancelled.
- Financial freedom plan: £200, payable in full in advance before the first meeting. Your Start Date is the date of payment.
- One-off coaching: £70 per hour (or £55 per hour for active Personal Financial Coaching subscribers). Sessions are payable on the date of the session.
Price changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 90 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified of any price changes and the new rate will apply from the next billing cycle following the notice period. If you don't wish to continue at the new rate, you may cancel your subscription.
7. Scheduling and sessions
Session scheduling
Coaching sessions must be scheduled in advance using our booking system. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred times.
Rescheduling or cancelling a session
These terms apply to any individual booked session, whatever service you are on. If you give at least 24 hours' notice, you may reschedule freely and the hour is not counted as used. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not attend (a no-show), the hour counts as used and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Missed sessions
If you do not attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice, it will be recorded as a no-show. Missed sessions are forfeited with no refund or rescheduling option.
We understand that emergencies happen. If you have a valid reason for a late cancellation or no-show, please contact us to discuss your situation. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in service withdrawal.
Session validity and rollover
We understand that life gets busy. The rules for unused sessions depend on the service you have purchased:
- Personal Financial Coaching: Each subscription year includes 4 hours of 1-to-1 coaching. These hours do not roll over: any of the 4 hours not used by the end of your 12-month subscription term expire and are not refunded or carried into the next year.
- Financial freedom plan: The 3 meetings included in your plan must be booked and held within 6 months of your purchase date. Any meetings not used within this period will expire and will not be rescheduled or refunded.
- One-off coaching: Each session is booked and paid for independently; there are no unused sessions to roll over.
8. Cancellation and refunds
Cooling-off period
You can change your mind and cancel within 14 days. How this works depends on the service you have purchased:
- Personal financial coaching, or a Financial plan: You have 14 days from your Start Date, and from each subsequent annual renewal date, to change your mind. If you have not used any coaching in that window, you'll receive a full refund of the amount paid. If you have had coaching in that window, we'll refund the amount paid minus any hours used at £70 per hour. After the 14 days, no refund is given as standard — we may offer a refund at our discretion only for genuine changes of circumstance.
- One-off coaching: a one-off session is covered by the “Rescheduling or cancelling a session” above. A session already delivered is not refundable.
Subscription cancellation after cooling-off period
You may cancel your Personal Financial Coaching subscription at any time after the cooling-off period by providing written notice via email. Cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period and you will retain access to services until the end of that period. Any unused coaching hours will be forfeited upon cancellation. After the 14-day cooling-off window, fees already paid are not refunded as standard — we may offer a refund at our discretion only for genuine changes of circumstance.
Cancellation by provider
We reserve the right to cancel your subscription immediately if you breach these Terms of Service, in which case no refund will be provided.
We may also cancel your subscription if we determine the coaching relationship is no longer appropriate or productive, or if we need to reduce our service capacity. In these cases, cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period.
9. Intellectual property
All materials and tools remain our property and are only for your personal use during your subscription
10. Confidentiality and data protection
Confidentiality
We will treat information you share during coaching sessions as confidential. However we may need to disclose information if legally required or if we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm.
Data protection
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
Use of client stories
We may document and share anonymised client success stories as part of our business development and marketing efforts. No personally identifiable information will be disclosed in our success stories. If you provide permission for us to share your anonymised story, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
11. Third-party websites and content
Our services may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We provide these for your convenience but have no control over their content or practices. We are not responsible for any third-party content, and we recommend you review their terms and privacy policies.
12. General terms
Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by email and through publishing on our website. Your continued use of our services following such notice constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must cancel your subscription.
Personal services
These services are provided to you personally and cannot be transferred or assigned to anyone else without our written consent.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any delays or inability to provide services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
13. Complaints
We're dedicated to excellent service, but sometimes we may not get things quite right. If you need to raise a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible at firefly.wealth@gmail.com.
